Our Coast-to-Coast package enables you to experience all of the sublime that is Costa Rica — the scenic Pacific Ocean, the turquoise Caribbean Sea, the spectacular Arenal Volcano and the lush central valley in-between. At its narrowest point, Costa Rica is only 122 km (76 miles) wide from the Pacific to the Caribbean but in between are some of the the world’s most biodiverse landscapes with an incredible variety of animal and plant life, as well as some of the friendliest people you’ll meet anywhere!
This 9 day / 8 night package starts at only $979 based on double-occupancy and is completely customizable to be a perfect fit for you! It includes quality accommodation and is loaded with activities and adventure that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Day 1: San Jose
Arrival at San Jose International Airport (Liberia Airport also possible), then head to the hotel chosen by you (budget, midrange or luxury).
You can spend the rest of the day in the hotel or take a cab into central San José and explore the city. If you arrive early enough or want to add extra days in San Jose, there are many additional activities as an option. San Jose is central to many sights and is the perfect place to do many day trips.
Day 2 & 3: Manuel Antonio
The famous Manuel Antonio National Park and its beautiful beaches await you! We’ll pick you up at your San Jose hotel and take you directly to your hotel, close to the Manuel Antonio National Park, for a 2 night stay.
On day 3, we’ll pick you up and head out on a sailing and snorkeling tour, one of the best ways to see the area above and below the water! Spend the rest of your day exploring the park, the beautiful beaches or just chill by the pool.
You can also add an optional guided tour of the park. This is highly recommended as the guides are great for spotting wild animals.
Day 4 & 5: Arenal
Take a comfortable minibus shuttle to Arenal where you can spend two nights at a hotel in La Fortuna or upgrade to a resort-style hotel out of town.
In the evening we’ll pick you up for a night-time volcano tour and then take you to the famous Tabacon Hot Springs and Spa where you can enjoy the many different pools and amenities of the resort. Dinner is served buffet style with an excellent view of the volcano.
On day 5, you can either choose a free day to explore the area, head to Lake Arenal or add a half-day tour to the Arenal Waterfall by horseback.
If your time is limited or you just want more time at the beach, you can choose to eliminate days 3 and 4 from the itinerary and do them as a day trip from San Jose on day 2 including Tabacon and the night-time volcano tour.
Day 6: Rafting to Puerto Viejo
Spend the day whitewater rafting on the Pacuare River to the Caribbean!
We’ll pick you up early in Arenal for an all-day adventure on Costa Rica’s most popular river. You’ll get a hearty breakfast at the rafting center where your luggage is stored in a locked container. Then it’s a full day river trip with lunch included.
At the end of the day, you are transported to Puerto Viejo for a 2-night stay at your choice of hotels in Puerto Viejo (or add more nights; we recommend this place a lot!).
Want the ultimate in getting away from it all? Choose to spend an additional night on the river by upgrading your rafting choice to a 2-day hike and paddle trip with a night in a river lodge.
Day 7: Puerto Viejo
The Caribbean coast has a wide variety of gorgeous beaches and fun activities. Perhaps rent a bike and spend the day exploring on your own?
Choose an optional activity such as the Cahuita National Park Hike and Snorkel tour. The Animal Rescue Center/Chocolate Lady and Waterfall combination tour lets you learn about wild cats, monkeys and snakes as well as the process of traditional chocolate making. For the adventurous, the All Day Jungle Adventure includes rappelling, tree climbing and zip lining, that Costa Rica is known for. Or better still, we can arrange a massage for you!
Day 8 & 9: San Jose
Morning or afternoon transportation to San Jose by minibus shuttle for a 1 night stay your chosen hotel.
You have the evening to explore on your own. Feel free to extend your stay on in San Jose; ask us about all the other tours and activities available.
Day 9 we say goodbye as your tour comes to an end.

Monteverde
Optional add-on to Monteverde from just $189 per person.
Monteverde is famous for its world renowned cloud forest; this high altitude rain forest has plenty of unique flora and fauna lending an almost magical air to those who experience it.
We’ll pick you up in San José and take you to your Monteverde hotel for a one-night stay. You will do a wonderful hiking tour in the Monteverde Could Forest, which is a nature lover’s paradise!
The next morning you’ll travel by van and boat across Lake Arenal to La Fortuna.
Tortuguero
Optional add-on to Tortuguero starting at $150 per person.
Tortuguero National Park – one of our highly recommended Costa Rica trips – is an isolated area on the north part of the Caribbean coast reachable only by boat or by air. Pure and untouched nature, turtle watching and jungle canals await you.
We’ll pick you up at your Puerto Viejo hotel, bring you to Tortuguero by minibus and boat for a 1-night stay at a lodge. All your meals are included, as are tours of the canals and town. Boat and shuttle transport is provided to San Jose on the following afternoon.
Bocas del Toro
Optional add-on to Bocas del Toro from just $195 per person.
Our Bocas del Toro trips include transportation from Puerto Viejo to Bocas del Toro via shared van and then on by boat to the islands and accommodation – either luxury on the main island or a bit more simple but with stunning views on Isla Solarte. Breakfast is included and depending on how many days you stay, an afternoon activity or a full day tour with lunch is also included. The option to return to San Jose by land or air is available.
If you are staying for one night, you can go snorkeling or deep boarding in the afternoon before enjoying a nice dinner in Bocastown or at your lodge. The following morning offers free time to discover the islands or relax on a secluded beach. At noon, you will commence the return trip back to Puerto Viejo.
If you stay two nights, you will have the rest of the day free to visit one of the nearby islands or explore the town. On the second day, you can go on a tour to Cayo Zapatillo, where you can try out deep boarding, the new way to snorkel. The tour includes lunch and snorkeling equipment. After a day on and in the water, you can enjoy the evening in Bocastown or at your lodge, and then return to Puerto Viejo the following day after breakfast. If you like an additional morning to explore the world of Bocas, we can also schedule you for the afternoon shuttle (not possible for San Jose).
