Tortuguero Canal and Banana Plantation |

Your bilingual guide will pick you up at the reception of your hotel. In a comfortable mini-van we will first do a small city tour through Limon with some interesting infos on the Caribbean port city. We will then continue north of Limon city, to the Tortuguero Canals.
There a motor boat you will take you on a safari through the mangroves looking for wildlife. Usually animals are quite easy to spot along the canal. You will see lots of birds, mammals like sloths and monkeys, reptiles like the emerald basilisk lizard and with a bit of luck even a crocodile or a caiman.
On the way back, you will visit a banana plantation and the packing station. You will get to know all about this delicious tropical fruit.

For those who want to travel on to San Jose right away, we now offer this tour as Adventure Connection for an extra charge of $30 p.p. This includes the tour as described above, luggage storage and lunch break at Hotel Playa Westfalia, including a drink per person plus use of their facilities and the pickup at Playa Westfalia and onward transportation to San Jose by shared shuttle. Just select San Jose as dropoff city to book this option. You will arrive in the capital around 7 PM.
