Aiko-logi offers day tours to its own 135 hectare farm featuring virgin rainforest right by the Caribbean coast of Talamanca.

The land is located close enough to Puerto Viejo and Cahuita (about 1/2 hour), that it is well worth coming just for a day to get a glimpse of the rainforest off the beaten track. You will feel completely cut of from the rest of the world for a few hours - no phone or mobile, no electricity, no people apart from our group - just nature

Guided day tours include:

• Pick-up in Puerto Viejo or Cahuita
• River walks/ trail hikes
• Picnic for lunch
• Swim in natural pools
• Optional special interest focus (bird-watching, medicinal plants, amphibians and reptiles, etc.)

There is a 2 person minimum for tours to run but we will try and match you with other travelers if you are alone.

Depending on your preferences and interests, Manuel focuses the tour on plants, animals in general or bird-watching. River walks, a swim below a waterfall or a natural pool in the forest are all possible on a one-day tour.

Aiko-logi tours are small.  We do not accept more that a maximum of 15 persons at Aiko at the same time.  This assures that visitors do not disturb the environment and the animals so we can see flora and fauna in their natural state. Too many people at the same time would make it impossible to see animals who would escape from the noise and vibrations.

Yes, Aiko day tours can be tiring. We, of course, tailor the walk to the groups preferences, but count on sleeping well the night after :)

Overnight stays:

Spend the night at Aiko-logi! Overnight Stays including 2 days and 1 night are $99 per person.

We obviously focus on your interests as in the day tours but have much more time and an around the clock experience of all aspects. Night-excursions are also a possibility for the adventurous.

We do cater food during the day and will make a BBQ at Aiko-Camp in the evening. Let us know if you prefer fish or meat and we will prepare accordingly.
